Have you ever thought about getting involved with a cause, but never seem to find the time to get to it? It’s been on my to do list forever until finally Dressember fell into my lap and I decided to get involved.

“Dressember uses fashion to advocate for women who’ve been exploited for their femininity. As women take on the creative challenge of wearing a dress for the 31 days of December, they are advocating for the inherent dignity of all women. The Dressember Foundation exists to inspire and empower a global community of like-minded women who are locking arms to face one of the greatest injustices of our time” – Dressember mission 

As women, we need to stand together and uplift one another. This is what Dressember is all about. Uniting against trafficking and abuse against women. I know my voice matters, I believe your voice matters and together we can help change the world that millions of abused women and girls wake up to every morning.

I am committing to wearing a dress every day of December 2015, yes all 31 days of it! Help me raise awareness and join me in Dressember, wear a dress for a good cause and/or make a contribution. Every bit counts, and the process is fast, easy, and secure. Ma’Ashuma clothing label – Shirt Dress

Currently this initiative is making leaps and bounds in globally. My goal is to raise awareness and continue the drive in South Africa!  Stats indicate that 40% of South African women will be raped in their life time, only 1 out of 9 cases will be reported and only 14% of perpetrators convicted. These are shocking results! My goal is to create real change by creating awareness!
