3 ways to update your look for Spring

COLOUR AND PRINT

Pair your neutrals with items in bold colours and prints – like a blazer, skirt, blouse, shoes and accessories.

When going bold, make sure all the items have a complimentary colour story to make your pieces more versatile. The colour story you choose should flatter your skin tone and colour category you fall into.

These are the colours you should be rocking for Spring 2016 according to Pantone and Instyle:

  • Warm Autumn (Buttercup, Peach Echo, Fiesta and Iced Coffee)
  • Warm Spring (Buttercup, Peach Echo, Iced Coffee and Green Flash)
  • Cool Winter ( Serenity, Snorkel Blue, Lilac Grey)
  • Cool Summer (Rose Quartz, Serenity, Limpet Shell and Lilac Grey)

Start simple and choose two bold colours to add to your wardrobe. Here are some colourful items for inspiration!

For warm skin tones, a red blouse, yellow skirt, yellow blouse and red shoes.

For cool skin tones, a blue blazer, blue printed shirt, pink tank and pink shoes.

A FRESH DO

Elle magazine says – try baby bangs, go short with a bob, keep your long layers or try a shaggy do. These ladies are rocking their styles and so can you!

Before you decide which do you’re going to try for Spring, make sure that your hairstyle suits your face shape and style. Changing your hair can give you just the right amount of fresh for the new season!

MAKEUP

Makeup is also a great way to welcome Spring. A natural makeup look with either a bold eye or lip takes the stage this season says Harpers Bazaar.

The Spring 2016 lip trend, go with a bold red or a dark lip. Make sure to choose the right shade of lipstick for you and make it stay all day!

The Spring 2016 eye trend, compliment bold lashes with blue, bronze or pink/sunset lids.
